10 must-attend Social Media Week Glasgow events

Glasgow is an official Social Media Week city for 2011 and Be Good Be Social are getting in on the action. Here’s our ten must-attend (and free) Social Media Week 2011 events, in no particular order:

  1. The Launch of SoLoCo – The UK’s first third sector crowdfunding platform.
  2. Dirty Pretty Digital Things – RAPP Edinburgh are running a competition to find the shiniest new social media ideas in Scotland.
  3. STV and social media – Scotland’s major commercial broadcaster will be sharing some insights in to their social media strategy.
  4. Social bookmarking for the voluntary sector – Part of a series of breakfast events run by the lovely people at IRISS.
  5. Be Good Be Social The Surgery – Well it would be rude not to mention our social media surgery for Scottish third sector organisations.
  6. Social media speed consulting – Running the same day as The Surgery, BIG Partnership’s event is ideal for businesses ineligible to attend our event.
  7. Google at SMW Glasgow – Danny Gray of Google will be talking about making sharing online more like sharing in the real world.
  8. FilmCamp – A look at the use of social media in audience engagement.
  9. Supporting student entrepreneurs – An open discussion, taking place entirely on twitter, will look at the need of student entrepreneurs.
  10. Future Forward – Building brands using social media.
